The fundamental principle of Collaborative Solutions is that the solution to problems emerges from people confronting differences with truth and honesty. My strengths are in creating safe opportunities for people to speak sometimes difficult truths to each other in a way that supports a continuing relationship. I facilitate positive change.
My specialty is dialogue, a full participation communications process, and I am an experienced meeting facilitator and trained mediator. I believe that the modern workforce is facing awesome change. What I do is help leaders pilot the ship through uncertain seas. we do so through improved communication among the shipmates.
I also believe that ‘how we do things’ in our organizations and businesses creates strong and change-resistant cultures. Newer, nimble, smaller high tech related firms have been built on an ever-changing foundation. It is the larger, older, well established organizations, especially those with extensive bureaucracies, that do what they’ve always done. Today, it is dangerous to resist change. Some of the most successful companies lead change. Change is one thing that never changes.
My experience tells me that organizations securing help from consultants (like me) do best when they commit to a long term relationship, and then make it possible for the consultant to spend time in, and learn the culture. The better understood is the workplace culture, the better the chance that new learning will be sustainable.
The question is always, “Will it be worth it?” If the perspective is long term, if sustainability of the business/company is a strong value, if there is a commitment to and accountability for implementation, then the answer will unmistakably be a resounding “Yes!”. This is how I would like to work with you.
