Group Facilitation
Facilitation
Are you asking yourself...
So, what is facilitation and how can it benefit me and my business or organization?
Said most simply, The facilitation process is one of helping groups get what they want out of a meeting.
It is best done by a skilled professional who is adept at designing agendas, clarifying goals and objectives, and keeping the meeting on task and on time. These are my strengths as a facilitator and you will be the beneficiary.
The most important benefit of professional facilitation is that it encourages the group to act collectively to find the solution to their challenge. The benefit of this is that the group will then have total buy-in for the solution versus the solution being created by the leader/manager with limited buy-in. Involve your stakeholders.
Professional facilitators focus on the process versus the content and maintain a global non-judgmental view without attempting to take ownership of the resulting solutions. I want the solutions to be yours, not mine.
My facilitation skills have been sharpened by studies of Meeting Facilitation at Interaction Associates in San Francisco, a leader in the meeting facilitation business, and as a member of the International Facilitators Guild. I have facilitated many meetings, large group change efforts, board retreats, and off-site planning efforts. Let s talk about how I can help you create powerful, results oriented meetings and events.
