How do we find the realtionship that is just right for us, and one we will work on to make it successful no matter what? Answers abound in my book, but there are two secret ingredients, excellent two-way communication and taking responsibility for yourself and your words and actions.
Communication is made up of clear spoken or written words and listening in such a way that one fully understands the other persons point of view. Integrity, authenticity, and sensitivity are crucial values. An egregious mistake is the Fundamental Relationship Error (FRE) which is to try to change the other person to what you want them to be. It never works.
My book has chapters on Intimacy,Chemistry, Soulmates, Distant Relationships, and Breaking Up. There is a major chapter devoted to Questions and Answers. While sub-titled A Man’s View, it is very relevant for women who want to understand us poor masculine creatures! I do offer men some tips from my experiences and a very active literature.
